Why is Steek better?

Evidently after a year at full steam with a goal to satisfy users demands, our technologies now lead the market!
The real need is to be able to save, access and restore any e-mailor folder on a individual basis and to ensure a smooth incremental backup of their .pst and .dbx files.
SteekU is the only online backup software that ACTUALLY backs up emails and address books. As opposed to our competitors, we do not simply back up a one large file that the user won’t be able to use after a restore but each new e-mail or contact record is backed up separately.
SteekVista technology includes connectors allowing to back up and restore emails and address books of
Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora and Thunderbird (Vista email soon).
Advantages for the users:
- - the optimization of the size and the treatment of the backup: we only back up new emails and not the whole mailbox file at each backup. Our solution doesn’t need “to slice” mailbox files in blocks, a technique that requires a lot of CPU for the user who undergoes this calculation,
- the possibility to directly restore online a particular email without restoring every email or the possibility to visualize an attached document,
- the possibility to consult the contents of one’s mailbox on one’s mobile email byemail. Due to the available transfer rate of mobile telephony, it is more realistic than to recover one’s complete Outlook pst file at once ! (the same thing is also possible for a contact in one’s address book),
- the possibility to easily change email accounts by migrating one’s emails (back up your Outlook .pst, restore it with Thunderbird and conversely…),
- no backup of useless emails (spams, virus, trash, etc),
Here is the interface where you can select your messages or adresse book.
You can decide to backup only one mail folder or your complete local account.
With the “immediate deposit” option you can backup on the fly your selection.
You can decide to restore only one email or a complete email folder. You can for example restore your Thunderbird emails in Outlook and migrate from one messenging system to another.
After each backup you will receive a report like this one giving a global view of what is backuped on your personnal computer.
