As said in this pretty good french article on Silicon.fr the PNY/steekR offer will finaly include 2 GB of online storage with each 2 GB USB drive purchase. It’s even easier like this!
So, if you are buying a 2 GB USB drive to transfer your most recent files with you or between your Mac and Windows PC’s, you can save and share its content directly, without installing aything on any of the machines you are using the drive with. In fact, you don’t have to worry about loosing the USB drive–or the PC’s–the good stuff’s backed up.
We can’t say this enough: the Quickdrive is a Drive with zero installation on its host system. It just runs.
The tool allows you to copy and share content in a Windows Explorer-like application: folders on the left, currently selected folder on the right.
The main window can also be split in four panes, so the local drives can be displayed next to the online space. It’s even easier to copy files and folders from one to the other.
The download manager panel is there to help you stay on top of the current transfers.
