Kaspersky Lab offers 2GB of online storage to buyers of version 7.0 of Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Kaspersky Internet Security.
Kaspersky Lab, the well known editor of computer protection solutions against all forms of cyber-malware (phishing, botnet, spam…) is partnering with Agematis and adds Steekup, the online most advanced online backup solution, to its new versions 7.0 of Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Kaspersky Internet Security.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus and Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 bring a triple protection against known and unknown internet malware. They fight effectively against viruses, worms, trojan horses, spywares, keyloggers and rootkits. They are also an excellent defense aganist cyber-crimiminals trying to steal your private and confidential data.
SteekUP offers the online backup of data. Users can select the files they wish to protect, like Word documents, Excel sheets, Outlook email messages and address book, photos, music and video files and more. The files are then saved thanks to a set of unique features:
- Four levels of protection: authentication via X.509 certificate, data encryption in 3DES, secured transfers via SSL 128bits and data integrity checks upon reception.
- Automated, scheduled backups.

SteekR DriveDrive Updated

An important update to SteekR DriveDrive beta was released on the 5th of October, but we kinda forgot to announce it here.
Without further ado, here it is:
- The virtual drive is now seen by most Windows applications.
- Applications can open and save files directly on the online drive.
- Deleted files are moved to the online Trash folder.
- Connection parameters are now available in the contextual menu.

1 000 000 steek users

The Steek technology just hit the ONE MILLION USERS milestone! This was achived thanks to our partners NeufCegetel, Voila, F-Secure, Kaspersky, PNY, the Yellowbackup resellers and our customers on steekUP and steekR.
We have a few new important French and International partners that already start using the steek technology. They will be announced here soon, we hope.
The v2 of steekUP and steekR are also in the works and will be launched before the end of the year. These revisions are quite important and deliver many of the feature and changes you asked for, and more.
LeWeb3 Program Published

The program of LeWeb3 is now online on the on the conference web site.

SteekR Sharing Widget

You can now publish online your steekR shared links without any effort with the widget sharing module. The sharing widget can be easily integratd in a blog template or other web pages. Here is a test on my personal blog (french) … The steekR widget is compatible with any kind of files, of course, and it’s made in Flash.
Several configuration options are available, like the size and colors of the widget, so feel free to optimize it for a better blog integration.

SteekR UWA Widget (beta)

The steekR’s UWA compatible widget is now available for a beta test on the url http://www.steekr.com/uwa/widget.php
Here is the widget. You have to enter your usual SteekR’s login and password
and clic on “Log in”. If you don’t have a steekR account yet you can choose to open a new one with the left green button or retreive your lost password with the green button on the right if you have a forgotten account.
When you are logged in you can browse your files in the widget and access them. You will now be able to have your online files in your personalised Netvibes, iGoogle or Webwag homepage !
EDIT: Seems like we’ve got a bit carried away. The widget is not yet Webwag compatible, but we’re working on it.
