Wells Fargo Bank has announced an online storage service called vSafe that lets users store digital files and documents reports InternetNews.
This news is interesting at 3 levels:
- Online storage is not a “2.0″ high tech concern targeting only geeks and provided by high tech startups. Wells Fargo is a long time established bank and this is another sign that confirms online storage as a mass market standard need.
- Wells Fargo also understands that people have a lot of digital contents that needs to be stored online. Wells Fargo indicates their offer is made to store ” from bank statements and tax information to your favorite digital photos“.
- Digital content are in danger! As indicated by Wells Fargo, the purpose is to ensure “Your files remain protected from damage and theft”.
